HOW TO DONATE TO CHARITIES ONLINE?

Now days, people want to do everything from the comfort of their homes. To refine it more, people want to do everything from the comfort of their computers. Be it staying in touch with friends, communicating with colleagues at the office, shopping, mailing, etc. We can say the world is going electronic. So in this electronic era a new way has emerged to donate to charities direct from your home. You simply make the donation online. With the click of a mouse the donation is made.

Many Australian charities such as Variety accept donations online. Donations of many trusts in memory of a loved one are also managed online only these days. Many such payments are handled by the e-commerce website PayPal. You simply advertise on a blog for donations and give your PayPal account id there and the money straight goes into your account. Although this maybe one way of accepting donations for a trust, but generally charity sites have their own webpage for donations. You simply enter the amount you want to donate, enter your credit card number and submit. Your donation is made. You get a mail either confirming the donation or you get an online receipt that you can print. Now many people start associating that if you use your credit card online, then your account might get hacked and your bank balance may vanish. Now if you use the card to make a donation and use it with all the safety precautions that come with it, then there is no such risk. Now days these sites also use the latest safety features on their web site so that such occurrences are second to none.

Another way of making a donation online is that you can purchase items such as cards or hand made decorative pieces online and get them delivered to your house. This way the cards generally children make are sold online and the proceeds of their sale are given to a charity or many charities. In using your credit card online for such things, you aren’t charged any processing fee and you only subtract the amount from your card that either you have donated or made a purchase.

In the modern era when everything is available in the flash of a hand, such a technique is good for people who have a busy life but still want to give a donation to a charity.

For the last 25 years, WSPA has been aiming to promote the concept of animal welfare around Australia where there are few or no measures to protect animals. The WSPA has campaigned politically to influence the government and the people who make decisions to think about animal welfare.WSPA has been able to set up numerous animal welfare groups due to generous donations from supporters. It has enabled the local community to have a key involvement in the improvement of the lives of animals. People at WSPA understand that human ignorance is a key factor for the cruelty dealt out to animals and thus WSPA’s educational programs make an impact and change people’s attitude towards animals. The rescue teams of WSPA provide help to animals tat have been abandoned, neglected or caught in natural or man made disasters world wide. The WSPA focuses on four priority animal welfare areas. The first is Companion animals. It is about responsible pet management, proper stray management and stopping cruelty. The second is commercial exploitation of wildlife. This is about the intensive farming, cruel management and killing of animals for profits. The third is about farm animals who serve as long distance transports. The fourth is about providing immediate relief to animals that have been caught in disasters.

The WSPA wants to build up a united global animal welfare movement. The 25 year path towards achieving our goal has taken WSPA to the farthest flung reaches of the planet. This has resulted in our presence in over 70% of the worlds countries to date. With consultative status at both the United Nations and the Council of Europe, WSPA is the worlds largest federation of animal welfare societies. The WSPA is proud to be part of a growing network with over 1000 member organisations in more than 150 countries; this means that WSPA can bring together animal welfarists throughout the world to challenge global issues.WSPA has 13 offices and hundreds of thousands of supporters worldwide.

The ethical basis for WSPA’s policies is that it looks beyond the conservation of a species to the welfare of individual animals, as every animal has an intrinsic value and should be respected and protected. The work done by WSPA has not only been good for the animals in Australia but indeed it has affected animals all over the world. The WSPA ha many partner agencies with whom it works in providing relief to animals all around the world.

From the beginning, World Vision’s activities have been focused on giving people – especially children – opportunities to come out of their suffering and to improve their lives. In 1947, American missionary Dr Robert Pierce travelled to China and Korea and encountered people who had to go on in life without food, clothing, shelter or medicine. During the Korean War in the early fifties, he helped set up orphanages to care for children who’d been abandoned or orphaned.

Upon his return to the US, Pierce began raising funds to continue and expand his work in Asia. The strength of the public response was such that in 1950, World Vision was founded, with Pierce as its president.

World Vision was established in Australia in the year 1966. During that decade, World Vision expanded its operations to meet the needs of refugees in Indochina and of people recovering from disasters in Bangladesh and in several African countries. Where long-term assistance was needed, children began to be sponsored by Americans, Australians and others. In the 1970s, World Vision’s focus broadened from assisting the individual child to include community development. Since the 1980s, the “welfare” approach has gradually changed to a more collaborative relationship. Poor, marginalised people and communities work with World Vision to improve their lives and take control of their futures.

A major area World Vision focuses on is human trafficking which others have ignored. Human trafficking is the recruitment and/or receipt of human beings through force or other deceptive means. The end purpose of trafficking is exploitation. This can take many forms including slavery, debt bondage and servitude. All over the world people are trapped in clutches of human trafficking and slavery- a violation of human rights. Unaccompanied children, migrants and the economically challenged are most at risk of suffering this kind of exploitation. World Vision is works to stop human trafficking and slavery. In Australia and elsewhere World Vision is advocating for rigorous anti-trafficking policies. Through our field work we seek to prevent trafficking through empowering vulnerable communities and providing support to victims.

World Vision also seeks to help feed children who are not able to support. It daily provides breakfast and lunch to alone 1 lakh children is Australia. Without the support of World Vision these children would have either died or taken to the streets and used unfair means to procure food for them. World Vision Australia has come a long way in helping people but there is still a long road ahead.

Water Aid Australia is an international charity which is dedicated to help some of the poorest people in the world to beat poverty and disease which are caused by living without safe water and sanitation. The vision of Water Aid Australia is of a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation.Water Aid helps the poorest people in the world to be able to access safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. These are basic human rights which underpin health, education and livelihoods and form the first, essential step in overcoming poverty.Water Aid Australia works with local partners, who are able to understand local issues, and thus provide them with the skills and support to help the communities set up and manage projects which are practical and sustainable and also meet, their real needs. Water Aid Australia also campaign’s locally and internationally to change policies and practices and ensure that water and sanitation’s vital role in reducing poverty is recognized.

Clean water is an essential element for the survival of human kind. One in eight people around the globe do not have access to it. Due to lack of clean water and sanitation 2 million people die annually. Another factor which affects people lives is that even if clean water is available, it is not available near the homes of people thus making their lives difficult. Women and children in developing countries spend hours everyday walking miles just to collect clean drinking water. Diarrhoea is a disease which claims the lives of 4000 children everyday.

These children die because they don’t have adequate sanitation and drinking water. The distressing things about these deaths are that these are common diseases which are preventable. Where safe and clean toilets are not available and so people are exposed to diseases.

In many places, there are no latrines and women must wait till the dark to go to the toilet or they must walk long distances to find a spot where no one else is present. Where toilets are not present girls are prevented from going to school. Water Aid Australia also teaches people about the importance of safe water and abandoning unhygienic practices. This helps people to become healthy and live in a clean environment. Water Aid and its partners work with individuals and families in their communities and use a mixture of low-cost technologies to provide clean water and sanitation and hygiene solutions.

Children charities are non profitable organizations which accept cash or kind contributions to help the kids who are orphan, disabled and diagnosed with a terminal disease or who need basic amenities of life. Among the major organizations and institutions of the world that are linked with such non profitable charities, the charities which support the cause of children are most famous.

Donating to a charity always makes the person who gives away something feel good of himself as there is no greater cause than to serve others who are less privileged than us. One should always assist others by doing whatever is in his capacity.

In such charities, the funds are usually divided into various sections such as children diseases and healthcare, child education, orphans, missing children or children’s rights and others. Amongst the most famous charities are the ones for the fight against the children’s diseases such as cancer, polio or leukaemia.

Often children suffering from hunger or ill effects of war are the worst affected of all and usually lack the basic amenities such as food, clothing and shelter. Helping such kids is the best way for one to utilize his time and money as when it comes to taxes, all the contributions made to non profit organizations such as charities are non- tax deductible.

Such charities have a goal in mind regarding their project such as education for all or food for every child which helps them in organizing their fund -raising in a transparent manner. Due to large amount of money being involved, there are several watchdogs involved in watching and studying how the money received is being utilised.

There are certain rules and regulations which prevent any kind of fraud or embezzlement by the charity organizations.
In Australia, there are several children charities which take contributions for such causes. The charities included are Youth off the streets, Variety, Vision Australia and many others to which one can make a contribution to help in making better lives of the kids. These charities ensure that the unprivileged kids are given a chance to brighten their life which has been full of strife due to no fault of their own.

Often people find themselves without any money in their pockets hoping they could donate something. Well charity gifts are a solution for these people. Knowingly or unknowingly we all have some things in our houses that are of no use to us. In such cases you can just donate these items to any nearby charity or society and this way those less privileged than you can also enjoy its benefits.Charity gifts also mean that you can buy cards and other hand made decorative pieces and the proceeds of such sales are forwarded to charity houses. Often people who are in position to give to others think that if you give money to a charity, then it might not really be used for charity work. Some corrupt official down the line might just gobble it up. An example for this is that if a beggar comes begging to you for money because he is starving. Now how do you actually know that he is starving? He could just take money from you, go buy liquor and drink it. This way charity gifts ensure that if you are giving an item for charity, then it is used for that purpose only.

Many schools in Australia organize a mass card making fest for children in which children make cards. These cards are sold in the name of charity and the proceeds from them go to the charities. A newer form of charity gifts is to organize concerts. Many organizations hold a concert in which a popular music band or many popular music bands are invited to perform. The proceeds from the ticket sales of such concerts are given away to charity. There are many such world wide organizations which hold such concerts in schools, colleges, etc. for helping charities. Many people donate items such as cars to charities because many charities are not even rich enough to afford one. Many companies also many a times make charities of their products such as wheelchairs to charities.

Many people also give away their kids old bicycles to charities because they have no use of them but for children who receive them it is a delight. Charity gifts is nice way to be able to help people by giving them things that they desperately need and we have no use of. Examples of such things are old toys, clothes, bicycles, board games, blankets, woolen clothes, etc.

Save the Children has been fighting for children’s rights way back since 1919. Save the Children is the world’s largest independent child rights development organization, which is making a difference to children’s lives in more than one hundred countries. From giving out emergency relief to long-term development projects, Save the Children secures a child’s right to health, education and protection. Save the Children Australia manages and implements programs in Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Save the Children also support’s development programs through their global network in selected countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In May 1919, Eglantyne Jebb founded the organization called Save the Children. Ninety years later, Save the Children has grown to become the world’s largest independent child rights development organization, making a difference to children’s lives in over 100 countries. Nearly 12 per cent of children living in Australia fall below the poverty line. Despite Australia’s wealth and high standards of living, many children struggle to reach even their potential because they don’t have access to education, healthcare and protection services.

Founded in Australia in 1919, the organization Save the Children has developed programs for Australian children since the 1950’s. The organization’s programs for education, health and wellbeing, and protection aim to brighten the outlook for many Australian children. The Mobile Playbus Program is a program which offers isolated and economically disadvantaged families access to playgroups, games and toy libraries. The program operates in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory. Save the Children’s Early Learning Centres operate in Nowa Nowa and Mooroopna in Victoria. The centres were established more than 40 years ago and provide accessible preschool education for local children who would otherwise miss out. ‘It Takes a Village…’ Multicultural Early Learning Program provides early childhood development activities and support to newly arrived refugee families and children in Perth.

Save the Children’s health, nutrition and life skills programs in Victoria and South Australia supply breakfast and snacks to children who otherwise go hungry. They also teach them practical skills in preparing and cooking healthy meals. The program highlights the links between nutrition and children’s development. The Allied Health Program in Bourke, New South Wales, is an early intervention program that helps communities deliver appropriate health services for children.

Save the Children is a worldwide society that is helping in bringing up children who have nobody to look after them.

The Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) is an organisation which is committed to inspiring all people pf Australia to achieve a healthy environment for all Australians. For over 40 years the voice of Australian Conservation Fund has been a strong voice for the environment, promoting solutions through research, consultation, education and partnerships. The Australian Conservation Fund work’s with the community, business and government to protect, restore and sustain the Australian environment. The founders of Australian Conservation Fund were drawn from Australia’s scientific, public service, business and political decision makers. In 1970 there was a campaign to protect the large areas of the Mallee in Victoria. It was resolved in favour of the conservation. In 1972 the remote Lake Pedder in Tasmania was obliterated by a hydroelectric scheme. A group of ACF members, who were angered by the failure of the organisation to speak without fear or favour in opposition to the flooding of Lake Pedder worked to bring about internal change. The approach of the Australian Conservation Fund to conservation campaigning became more strategic, active and independent and throughout the seventies public awareness of conservation issues increased.

The nineties began on a high note for the ACF. The environment being the focus of the federal election, ACF was swamped by the media with requests for information to produce TV programs, newspaper feature articles and radio documentaries related to environment. On World Environment Day 1990 Australian Conservation Fund and Telecom Australia held a nationwide video-conference for young people throughout the country to discuss ways in which ozone-depleting substances could be rduced. Then in 1993 the recession hit and attention of the media turned away from the topic of environment. Despite financial constraints, the Australian Conservation Fund continued to extend its influence through initiatives such as the Green Jobs Unit, which promoted employment creating environmental solutions; the alliance with the National Farmers Federation, which was renewed in 1996 and again in 2000; and the establishment of the GeneEthics Network to focus on the impact of genetic engineering.

In 2000, Sir William Deane, the Governor General of Australia, ACF’s program Natural Advantage: A Blueprint for a Sustainable Australia. The Australain Conservation Fund has a number of publications to it names which tell people about topics such as climate change, nuclear freeenvironment, sustainable cities, green homes, healthy rivers, oceans and a healthy Australia. The works of Australia Conservation Fund have touched peoples lives in the far off corners of Australia.
